What is the bed weight capacity?
Do the wooden slats under the mattress get drilled into the bed? Or are they freely sliding?

Is there a bed like this to hold an adult's weight on the top or can this be made to hold more weight somehow, like with extra slats or plywood?
The top bed is very solid and I see no problem with accommodating an adult. However, I’d add more slates or cardboard beneath the mattress if it is going to long term use.
Has anyone used this bed for older kids/teenagers? Wondering how it holds up to kids 11+
Hello there. We just got this bed a few days ago and my husband set it up Saturday. We bought these for our 8 year old twins and they slept on it for the first night last night.It seems pretty sturdy. Not sure how it would hold up to older kids. Sorry couldn’t be much help.
Is there a recommended height for mattress on bottom (not trundle) ?
A standard mattress fits fine.
Does the top and bottom separate into two twin beds?
Yeah well worth the money three beds in one.
