Is this 3 light fixture bright enough to light up a room? How short can this fixture be made?

It is bright enough, I have a dimmer on mine which works well. My ceilings are 8 ft. We have it over our dining room table hung as high as we could

Would the 3 or the 4 fixture light be best for an 8' pool table?

I did a lot of research before I bought my 4 fixture light and learned that a 3-light fixture is perfect for an 8 ft table. My table is a 9 ft and requires a 4-light to avoid any shadows.

I have this in the 3 light octagonal & it is wired into the ceiling which is connected to the switch on wall to control the light. There is not a plug connected to light only wire connects.
